The NYS Senate Republicans have scheduled two hearings on the State Parole Board and voting rights for people on parole.
The Senate R's say they are "troubled by the Parole Board's apparent disregard for the law-abiding citizens it is supposed to serve," and call the Governor's executive order giving people on parole the right to vote "a questionable process."
The first hearing will take place on Monday, October 1st in Albany, and the second on Tuesday, October 2nd, on Long Island. The Senate Republican led Committees on Elections and Crime Victims, Crime and Correction will host the hearings.
